Disney California Adventure of the Disneyland Resort has added to it’s already fabulous amusement park, Disney California, Disney Cars Land. While I was not there for the opening 
debut on June 15, 2012, I did find my way there on October 6th. If you’ve not have the opportunity to take your family to Disney Cars Land yet, it’s a must for any family vacation! It’s even a great trip for adults. The event was sponsored by Verizon Wireless, where they sent 150 prize winners and their 4 guest! How cool is that? Wow, we had a fabulous time. Verizon Wireless hosted a private party for their winners and their family’s. That’s me in the red, and Teri Hardy behind me in the gray. The other four were winners we met at the private party. As you can see we were enjoying ourselves.
At 9:00 p.m. Disney California Adventure Park closed to the public and guests were escorted to Cars Land to enjoy the new attractions. All the Verizon Wireless contest winners entered into a racing competition at Radiator Springs Racers. Each car raced against each other until there was one winner left. I was in the WINNING CAR!
When the race was over we were all crowned with Mickey Mouse hats and giving a Cars Land trophy. Then they sprayed us with confetti! 
The party hosted by Verizon Wireless was complete with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Donald Duck!
I truly felt like a kid again! I remember a little girl at the party, she had spotted Mickey Mouse and she took off running towards him with her arms wide open and when she reached Mickey, she just grabbed on so tight and hugged him. Seriously, just like you see in the commercials.
Other rides at Disney Cars Land include:
Luigi’s Flying Tires is a rather cool ride. It reminds me a little of the Flying Saucers in Disney Tomorrowland. One of the things I love about Luigi’s Flying Tires is there isn’t any steering. Simply lean in the direction you want to move and off you go!
Put on your happy face and your dancing shoes cause Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree is a square dance and a whip ride rolled into one. And although it looks like a simple ride, it’s really quite fun. Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree is sure to be a ride that you and your family will want to ride over and over again. All of the Disney Cars Land rides are a hay day of fun for all ages.
Eats and Treats:
Yummy! I’m an easy mark for amusement park food. I love the aroma that fills the air; it drags me right into food line and makes me buy one of everything that is pleasing to my senses! I love, love, love breakfast food. You’ll find just that and lunch and dinner at Flo’s V8 Cafe. Yup, they make it all!
And if it’s treat and snacks you desire, you’ll be sure to enjoy the ice cream, pretzels, flavored popcorn, Chili Con Queso, “Route” Beer Float in a Souvenir Glass, Churro Bites,Chicken Verde in a breaded cone and beverages at Cozy Cones.
There’s so much to do and see at the new Disney Cars Land that you will want to stay an extra day. And Disney is always adding new things for your enjoyment, so when you come back next year, there will still be things you didn’t do or new things to experience. I had such a great experience with Disney; memories that only Disney can create. Imagine that!
My toddler would love this! She loves the movie and she would really enjoy visiting Disney Cars land.
I can’t wait for next spring when we take the kids to Disney. I think they will have a ball in Cars Land.

OMG my kids (9 & 4) would absolutely LOVE this. They love Cars, I think the whole family knows the entire movie by heart. My dream is to take the kids to Disney!!
It really doesn’t matter what age you are here at the Disney Resort– there is fun fir all–Each of my older kids have gotten to go there and now maybe I will be able to take the four youngest ones– but I know that at sometime in the life time they will be able to see it– great review –thanks–fun place…………

My Grandson is 2 and LOVES the Cars movies. Of course his favorite is lightning McQueen. We are hoping to take him to either disney world or disneyland when he turns 5. We want him to remember it because vacations like that are few and far between. I know he would adore these attractions. Looks like you had a great time too.

We went to disneyland and california adventures last february and cars land was under construction… We’re planning another trip this february for our daughters 3rd birthday.. She will be older and enjoy it more.. And of course we love it too!

Oh My Goodness, My little girl seen on the Disney Channel when they were advertising this. We want to wait until she gets a couple more years older so she’ll remember but we def. want to go so bad!!! I love how they make it just like the movie! Disney Rocks!!

Wonderful review of Disney Cars Land. We took our sons to Disneyland in CA about 27 years ago. Looks like there have been numerous additions and improvements. FUN, FUN, FUN !!!

My kids would love this and they are 9, 10 and 11 but the thing is, I would too! Cars is personally my favourite Disney, non princess movie. When the movie came out, we took the kids to see it, and as a fan of racing I was blown away. My boys rooms had the Cars theme. And when the DVD came out, just before my birthday, it was my favourite gift 🙂 I know I’m just a big kid at heart, and how can’t you be with Disney and DisneyLand!

I didn’t know they had added this attraction! I haven’t been to Disneyland or DisneyWorld. Now I REALLY wanna go just for this. I’d love to take my nieces and nephews. I have 8 so I better start saving, lol
